BANGALORE: Dashing Bollywood hero Vivek Oberoi is bound to break many hearts when he ties the knot with Priyanka Alva on 29 (Friday) October 2010. Priyanka, a 28-year-old management graduate from London, was dressed in an orange ghagra choli for the mehendi ceremony which was attended by friends and relatives.Priyanka, daughter of former Karnataka Minister, late Jeevraj Alva, will tie the knot with 34-year-old Vivek today.

While most Bollywood stars will attend the reception on Sunday at a five-star hotel in Mumbai, Vivek's friends Sushmita Sen and Dia Mirza are expected to be in Bangalore for the nuptials. Tarun Tahiliani, who's designed the wedding attire for the bride and bridegroom, will also be present along with Kumar Taurani, producer of Vivek's 'Prince', and Sachin Gupta, who scored the music for that film. Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan Teja and Allu Arjun may also attend.

Thursday will see a performance by Sivamani, who is slated to play between 9pm and 10pm, after which DJ Jasmeet will take over and churn out tunes from 'Rakht Charitra', 'Saathiya' and 'Prince', among other popular numbers from Vivek's hits. Bhangra is also on the cards, adding a Punjabi-Sindhi touch to the wedding.

K V Bhaskar Raju, director, Chancery Pavilion, is all excited. "We are very happy to host the Oberois. They are here with a lot of family and friends. Nandini Alva is a family friend, which is why they chose our hotel," he said.
Priyanka is my anchor: Vivek
Vivek Oberoi, who will tie the knot with Priyanka Alva Friday, is so much in love with his wife-to-be that he has started penning poetry about her.
One of his poems to Priyanka reads - "In a world of only two people who are each other's world..."
"I don't know how you got that, but those are my lines to her," said Vivek, 34.
"We've discovered a whole universe in each other's life. I've found the love of my life. It was an arranged-cum-love-'zyada' marriage. Every day with her is a blessing. In a world full of storms, she's my anchor. I live in a world of masks. I needed someone as real as she is. She is my home. She's the one I can come home to me. She has changed my life," he said.
Vivek, who entered Bollywood with Ram Gopal Varma's 'Company' in 2002, was earlier engaged to model-turned-entrepreneur Gurpreet Gill. But they broke off and later the actor was linked to Aishwarya Rai.
Though Priyanka's father is no more, her mother adores Vivek, who is the son of seasoned actor Suresh Oberoi.
"She's (Vivek's mother-in-law-to-be) a major exponent of art. Our two families have been friends for years. And if I may say so, my family has earned great respect and dignity beyond cinema.
"Even on a personal level, it has taken me a long time to overcome the cynicism about my work outside movies. If you are sincere about what you do, respect finally has to come your way," said the actor who was recently seen in the biopic on slain factionist-turned-politician Paritala Ravi in 'Rakta Charitra'.Source URL: https://newnewnew7.blogspot.com/2010/10/priyanka-alva-and-vivek-oberoi-wedding.html
